Fountain

Precious water

In the beginning, water was life's source,
Flowing, pristine, from the heavens' force.
It nourished the earth, and all it contained,
Filling every river, every stream, every plain.

From stories, myths and tales of old,
Water was worshiped, its power untold.
The gods themselves were said to reside,
In the seas, lakes, and rivers they deified.

But now, in this age of chaos and haste,
Water's preciousness has been replaced.
We take it for granted, pollute it with ease,
Ignoring the signs that the earth, it grieves.

Drama unfolds as droughts ravage lands,
And thirst-stricken people cry for relief in their hands.
As wildfires rage and storms unleash their wrath,
Water is the remedy, the only path.

It's time to return to the wisdom of old,
To value water, like a treasure of gold.
To protect it, cherish it, and keep it pure,
So that life on earth may continue to endure.

For water is more than just a resource,
It's the essence of life, a vital force.
So let us honor it, and treat it with care,
For without water, our existence, we cannot bear.
