A toad who lived beside a pond one day
Decided he would venture out and see
The world beyond his home of mud and clay
And find out what it's like to be so free
He hopped along the grassy bank and found
A path that led him to a nearby wood
He heard the crickets chirp and owls sound
And felt a thrill of fear and wonder flood
He reached a clearing where the moon shone bright
And saw a sight that made his eyes grow wide
A fairy ring of mushrooms in the light
And tiny winged creatures by its side
He crept up closer, curious and bold
And joined the fairies in their dance of gold.
