The forest burns with fierce and raging flames, That devour all the trees and plants in sight. The smoke obscures the sun and sky with shame, And fills the air with darkness and with blight.
The animals flee from their burning homes, And seek for refuge in some safer place. But some are trapped and perish in the coals, Or suffocate from lack of air and space.
The fire spreads with speed and power unchecked, And leaves behind a trail of ash and dust. No human hand or force can stop its wreck, Or quench its thirst for fuel and for lust.
But nature has a way to heal and grow, And from the ashes, new life will soon show.
