Ariadne's maze, a labyrinthine place, A place of twists and turns and endless ways, A place where Theseus found his saving grace, And Ariadne's thread did guide his days.
The Minotaur, half-man and half-beast, Did roam the maze with deadly intent, But Theseus, with his sword and wits at least, Did slay the beast and from the maze he went.
And Ariadne, who gave the thread so true, Was left behind on Naxos' shore, But Dionysus came and her heart he wooed, And she became his bride forevermore.
So let us remember Ariadne's maze, And how Theseus did the beast amaze.
