A pebble on the beach,
A leaf upon the breeze,
Both simple things, yet both
A world of mystery.
The pebble, smooth and round,
With flecks of color bright,
A world of history
Within its tiny might.
The leaf, a fragile thing,
Yet strong enough to fly,
A world of wonder
In its veins of green and grey.
I see you both with new eyes,
With fresh and open mind,
And I am filled with wonder
At the beauty you define.
