Vulnerability

To be vulnerable is not a flaw
But a courageous act of honesty
It means to open up your heart and draw
The strength to face your fears and let them be

To be vulnerable is not a sign
Of weakness or of failure or of shame
But a way to connect and to align With others who can empathize and name

To be vulnerable is not a risk But a rewarding choice of bravery It helps to heal the wounds that may have frisked
Your soul and made you doubt your dignity
To be vulnerable is to be free
To love yourself and others genuinely
Acknowledging vulnerability
