Day 10: curiosity mindfulness meditation
14 day mindfulness meditation challenge
A mindfulness meditation guide on time management:
- Find a comfortable and quiet place where you won’t be disturbed for the duration of the meditation.
- Sit comfortably in a chair or on a cushion with your back straight, but not rigid. Allow your hands to rest comfortably in your lap.
- Take a few deep breaths and allow yourself to settle into the present moment.
- Begin to focus on your breath, noticing the sensation of the breath moving in and out of your body. Allow your breath to be natural and easy.
- As you continue to focus on your breath, bring your attention to your thoughts about time management. Notice any feelings of stress, anxiety, or overwhelm that arise as you think about managing your time.
- Without judgment, simply observe these thoughts and feelings, allowing them to be present without getting caught up in them.
- As you continue to observe your thoughts and feelings about time and change, begin to cultivate a sense of curiosity and openness. See if you can approach the task of managing your time with a sense of playfulness and experimentation.
- As you bring this sense of curiosity and playfulness to your thoughts about time and change, notice any insights or new ideas that arise. Allow these insights to emerge naturally, without forcing or pushing them.
- Finally, as you conclude the meditation, take a few deep breaths and allow yourself to return to the present moment. Bring your attention back to your body and the sensation of your breath moving in and out of your body.
- When you’re ready, open your eyes and take a moment to notice how you feel. See if you can carry this sense of curiosity and playfulness with you as you approach the task of managing your time throughout the day.
