Stones and weeds
Crazy paving is a way
To make a path or driveway
With stones of different shapes and sizes
That create a pattern full of surprises
Some may think it's messy or chaotic
But I find it charming and exotic
It adds some character and flair
To any space that needs some care
Crazy paving is not for everyone
But for me, it's a lot of fun
It's a creative and unique expression
Of my personal style and vision

The weeds in the image are not based on any specific species, but they are inspired by some common weeds that grow in cracks of pavement. According to the search results, some of these weeds are yarrow, pigweed, gumweed, and flowering prickly lettuce. These weeds are adaptable and can survive in challenging conditions. They may look unsightly to some people, but they also add some color and life to the otherwise bare and dull cracks.
In the cracks of stone
Small bright weeds find a home
They defy the odds
They grow and flourish
Adding color and texture
To the dull pavement
They are not welcome
By some who see them as pests
But they don't give up
They are resilient
And beautiful in their way
They have a purpose

I used to ‘rescue’ orphan trees from cracks in the pavement. It was fascinating repotting them, watching them grow, and wondering what they were. It was a hobby of mine for quite a few years. My friends expect me to be a bit quirky. Thanks for sharing this. It brought back a bit of nostalgia

A very satisfying hobby! This reminded me particularly of a beautiful maple tree grown from such a transplantation. 😊
