Very well written. I’m severely disabled and severely visually impaired. I wanted to try yoga when I was at university and went to a class but the stretches they did weren’t tailored to me. Yoga has always been suggested by my doctors. Do you know of any stretches suitable for wheelchair users? I am unable to stand or walk.
Thank you! 😊 You may find The Palouse Mindfulness approach to yoga helpful. Dr.Lynn Rossi’s video’s are very good and have a chair alternative being shown aswell as mat exercises. There’s a link on this page with an audio version too. https://palousemindfulness.com/meditations/yoga1.html another thing that’s interesting is that even visualising these postures can have a powerful effect.
I love this. I’ve been practicing yoga since I was 9-years-old, in the 1970s! I stumbled upon a program Yoga for Health, with Richard Hittleman (now deceased, RIP) and was hooked ever since.

Thanks for the link! I agree that visualising helps too.
