Wet celandines
Oh how I love the yellow flowers
That bloom in March's rainy hours,
They brighten up the gloomy days
With cheerful hues and sunny rays.
Dandelion with fluffy head
You make a wish, and then you spread
Your seeds across the verdant lawn,
And wait for spring to come along.
Daffodil with trumpet shape
You nod your head, and smile and gape
At all the wonders of the earth.
You fill my heart with joy and mirth.
Celandine with starry eye
You wink at me as I pass by,
You hide your face when night falls down,
And shine again when dawn comes round.
Forsythia with golden spray
You paint the sky a brighter way,
You herald summer's warm embrace,
And lift my spirits with your grace.
Oh, how I love the yellow flowers
That bloom in March's rainy hours.
They sing to me a ballad sweet
Of hope and beauty, nature's feat.
