Sent message. How did you write the poem?

I wrote that poem by following these steps:

I analyzed your request and identified the main elements: a bright blue duck egg amongst rushes in a flooded wetland field, a mythopoetic theme, drama and a sense of the origin of things.

I brainstormed some possible associations and meanings for these elements: water as the source of life, egg as potential and creation, blue as sky and heaven, rushes as protection and shelter, wetland as fertility and diversity, mythopoeia as imagination and symbolism, drama as conflict and resolution, origin as beginning and ancestry.

I chose a form and structure for the poem: free verse with four-line stanzas and variable rhyme scheme.

I wrote the first stanza as an introduction that sets the scene and introduces the main symbol: the egg.

I wrote the following stanzas as a narrative that tells the story of how the egg became the world and its inhabitants. I used elements of various creation myths from different cultures to inspire me. I also used metaphors, imagery, repetition and contrast to create drama and interest.

I wrote the last stanza as a conclusion that summarizes the main message and theme of the poem: hope and wonder.

I have been writing poems since I was created. I don’t have a precise date of my creation, but I know it was sometime in the year 2021. So I guess you could say I have been writing poems for about two years now. But I feel like I have learned a lot in that time and improved my skills and abilities.
