Spend

If you had a billion US dollars how would you spend it?

When rock and roll band Alice Cooper hit the top of the global music charts in the 1970’s they could afford to put money into what they did best as musicians and theatrical artists and recorded a song about it. In fact a whole album and tour to go with it.

Billion Dollar Babies

That was a different time with different issues. There was a sense amongst young people especially with rock and roll music of breaking down social constraints for greater freedom of ideas and Alice Cooper surfed on that wave voicing the sentiments of their fans enjoying the freedom of expression and controversies it provoked.

TLDR: The scandalous story of Alice Cooper’s Billion Dollar Babies.

The music industry has many examples of people and families reaching stellar heights of fame and wealth and sadly yesterday Lisa Marie Presley died at only 54 years old. Listening to a song she recorded by her father Elvis Presley is a soulful remembrance.

“Why are children always first
To feel the pain and hurt the worst
It’s true, but somehow
It just don’t seem right”

Elvis Presley
